At the State Bank of India (SBI), there are several services a net banking portal provides; such as account balance, transferring money, activating an ATM card, opening a digital savings account, applying for a chequebook and more.

The SBI net banking facility can be availed through any electronic device such as laptops, mobiles and tablets. Any account holder can easily register for the SBI Netbanking facility without visiting the branch.

Here are some steps to register for SBI net banking without visiting the branch.

Step 1: Visit the SBI web portal.
Step 2: Go to the 'Personal Banking' section and select 'New User Registration/Activation'.
Step 3: On the new screen, the account holder will have to fill in the registration form.
Step 4: Make sure you enter all the mentioned details such as account number, CIF, branch code, country, registered mobile number.
Step 5: After that, select the transaction limit rights. Click submit to proceed.
Step 6: Once all the details have been filled in and submitted, an OTP will be received on the registered mobile number.
Step 7: Moving on, select the ATM card options and use the details to complete the registration and activate the net banking services.
Step 8: Click on submit and your temporary username will be displayed on the screen.
Step 9: Create your login password to register successfully.
Step 10: After the completion of the registration, visit the SBI website and log in using a temporary username and password.
Step 11: Now set your own username and password.
Step 12: Once you set the SBI net banking username and password, you can avail the SBI Net Banking services easily.

Please note that if you have received the internet banking pre-printed kit from the bank, you can use the same username and password for the SBI net banking. Those who have not received the kit can use the online registration method mentioned above.
