Birmingham-Southern College has provided me with a rigorous, liberal arts education that has encouraged me to explore many different disciplines. I am a double major in English and physics and have consistently pursued Spanish and percussion classes. This wouldn't have been possible without teachers who encouraged a curious and explorative mindset for education. Unfortunately, the school is closing permanently this May which is a loss to the communities surrounding and Alabama in general.

Birmingham Southern College is such a beautiful campus. The view is so amazing. Their faculty and staff are phenomenal in how the assist students through their entire registration process. It as if they have their own island and everyone seem to know each other. BSC reminds you that you're apart of a big happy family. They push you to be the very best. Also, provide a residential close knit community that prides itself on being a home away from your actual home. BSC ensures safety, health and well-being of each student. You will definitely eat, live learn and fellowship together. Honestly, BSC is a great college I would only like to see expansion because its a small college but it has so many opportunities that I strongly believe many students round the world could benefit from.

Loved this place. Wish the Alabama State Government was not corrupt so the college would remain open. The alabama state government let the only nationally ranked top prestigious liberal arts college in the state of alabama close. No other liberal arts college in the state of alabama is ranked nationally as presitgious like sewanne or rhodas college. there wont be a replacement but not BSC problem.
